Anderson, SC is a typical southern town in the “Bible Belt”. The city is well acquainted with cultural Christianity, but the practice of true discipleship is often lacking for many individuals. Anderson University helps make this city a strategic location for training and equipping laborers to be sent out into the harvest for God’s glory. To do this we need men and women who are passionate about making disciple-makers.
Renewal Church’s motto is “Making Disciples and Multiplying Leaders”. The Lord has blessed us with great unity in our church, and a heart for relationships. At Renewal Church, we have just recently launched Life Groups with the mission to pursue growth together, including six multigenerational groups, two college groups, and one youth group. The Lord has also given us a great relationship with Anderson University, which has led to over 150 college students attending Sunday worship. Our prayer is that we will continue building up leaders and multiplying Life Groups. We are praying for four more Life Groups by next March.

We would love to see more Generation LINK Residents jump on board to pursue college students, worship, and missional opportunities. Generation LINK Residents are a huge blessing to the church in how they serve, and it is our desire to train and equip them to fulfill the calling God has placed on their lives.
Our Generation LINK Residents are true ministry leaders. They are given ministry responsibilities where they must lead others well. Much of their ministry responsibility is relational. They are constantly out of the church and on the mission field. There are administrative responsibilities, but these are mostly limited to organizing Sunday morning volunteers and follow-up with Sunday morning contacts. Our Generation LINK residency includes residents who are full-time as well as part-time, either with school or work.
Summer LINK Anderson works along side of Renewal Church to impact the Anderson community with the gospel. It is Renewal’s goal to take the gospel to the families and individuals of Anderson to bring about a culture of discipleship and worship for the glory of God.
Summer LINK Anderson participants will be given meaningful ministry responsibilities for the purpose of outreach, discipleship, and worship. They will grow in community with each other and the church body, and they will grow in their own personal faith and discipleship.
The Summer LINK interns will also have an opportunity to work a part-time job (15-25 hours/week) in the community both for ministry opportunity as well as income during the summer.
