The Beginning of Summer Link Atlanta

The Beginning of Summer Link Atlanta

Greetings from Atlanta,

We are very excited to see what the Lord is going to do during our first summer link here at NewBranch Community Church! Our team is composed of myself (Jonathan Mitchell) and Griffin Holloway.

My name is Jonathan Mitchell and I am married to Kayla. We got married July 18 of last year. We are both Clemson grads and huge Tiger fans. I serve on staff as a Generation Link Resident with NewBranch. My main responsibility is to lead and oversee the Student Ministry. I am humbled to have the opportunity to lead our first Summer Link in Atlanta.

My name is Griffin Holloway and I am a rising Junior at Valdosta State University where I am a Marketing major. I am from Dacula, GA and grew up at NewBranch. I am a huge Braves fan (as you can see in my picture)! I have participated in Summer Link Boston the past two summers and am looking forward to serving with my home church this summer!

We will be doing a variety of things throughout this summer. We will be investing in NewBranch’s students by serving during weekly gatherings and by going to Creed Camp (week long summer camp for middle school and high school students). We will assist in leading NewBranch’s second annual “Serve Dacula.” During this week we will show and share the gospel in many different ways to our community. We will go out weekly to share the gospel with the lost in our community. Griffin will also have a part time job and will seek to leverage his work relationships to share the gospel. We will also be going to Boston to serve with a new church plant (Redeeming Grace Church) for a week. During our discipleship meetings we will be studying the book of Colossians together.

Please pray the Lord would use us in these ways to advance the Kingdom this summer. Pray for many gospel seeds to be planted and for God to give the growth. Pray that Griffin and I would be transformed by the gospel. We will be praying each of these things for the rest of the Summer Link teams as well.

For the Kingdom,

Jonathan Mitchell
