THERE IS A DESPERATE NEED for laborers in Bexley. Paramount Church is the only evangelical church in Bexley, and many members are actually from other suburbs of Columbus. Bexley is located in a heavily Jewish and Catholic community often prone to materialism. However, the city is also surrounded by lower income areas that are in need of help.

Paramount Church aims to be a healthy church with a strong Gospel presence in our community. We offer free Biblical counseling to our community to anyone interested. The people of Bexley love community events such as barbecues, picnics, and block parties, and it is our desire to engage the community through these kinds of outreaches.

Paramount Church

The year 2016 was marked by a sweet increase in our ability to send out the gospel to our neighbors and the nations. With the help of faithful church partners and mission teams, we were enabled to “go and tell” our good news to a number of new locations and communities. We fliered, cooked hot dogs, led games, and – most importantly – shared the gospel with countless souls. Like the good farmer, we continue to plant the seeds of salvation and pray fervently for rain. We also saw one of our resident interns spend 3 months on the mission field in Asia.  She returned with an even greater passion for ministry and missions, and is now pursuing additional training for a fruitful return to the mission field.

Paramount Church grew slowly but surely throughout each week of the year. What was originally a church of 15 is now a church of 70-90 on Sunday mornings. What is more is that each of those individuals or families, who call Paramount their home, are sincerely committed to the life and work of the church. They attend faithfully, represent the church honestly, and care for one another just as our Lord commanded us.

We have not only grown numerically. Paramount has also grown deep in the truth. This has come through the faithful personal study of Scripture, to which each member is regularly encouraged. And we have grown as a result of faithful corporate Bible teaching and preaching throughout the week. Through Adult (and Youth) Bible Fellowship we have considered closely the Gospel, biblical Change, local church Community, and the Great Commission.

We hope to see more and more people believe in Jesus, and we long to help families grow in Christ.

At Paramount Church, there is still a need to get our name out into the public. We have often used large-scale methods such as advertisements in local newspapers to do so, but we have found that nothing compares to a personal invitation. Through everything from out-of-state missions to large community block parties, we want to see people reached for the Gospel. Generation LINK residents are often the hands and feet that make this happen.

Paramount Church is committed to magnifying Christ and multiplying His kingdom. Things are often changing and more opportunities are continually arising to serve within, nearby, and beyond the local church. Generation LINK residents can serve in Administration, Christian Counseling, Missions, Children’s Ministry, Church Growth and Development, and Neighborhood/Street Ministry.

Columbus, Ohio is the 15th largest city in the United States and, perhaps, best known for Ohio State University; the largest university in America. But there is much more to Columbus than buckeyes and football. Columbus is a vibrant and growing crossroad of culture with nearly two million residents; more than Cincinnati and Cleveland combined . Ethnic diversity, youthful population, vibrant university life, artistic culture, and recent city revitalization poise Ohio’s capital as a wonderful place to sow gospel seed among the nations. More specifically, Paramount Church is located in Bexley, a historic area five miles east of downtown Columbus. Bexley is home to the Ohio Governor’s Mansion, Capital University, and strong Jewish and Catholic cultures. For many years Bexley has lacked a gospel-centered church, until now. Paramount Church officially began on Feb 18, 2013 and is daily announcing the good news in a key area. We need your help and encourage you to consider joining the effort.
