Hello. My name is Tim and I am 28 years old. I live in Lakewood, Colorado along with my beautiful wife, Katie, and two dogs. I am a covenant member at Calvary Church Lakewood, where I first heard of Generation Link. Why Summer Link? I took the opportunity to participate in this internship because I am called to a life of professional ministry. I believe God has called me to be a pastor. In light of that, I am eager to learn from my pastors and to be mentored by them. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I want to serve my church family as well as my Lakewood/Denver community.

This Summer Link Internship contained three major facets that I participated in. They were  serving on Sunday mornings as well as church and community events, learning about evangelism, and missional living through engaging and investing in people in my life. I can honestly say that I do not have the room to sufficiently write how much I learned, as I have learned so much through all three aspects of the internship. One of the biggest highlights is learning about effective evangelism. We read a wonderful book called, The Unbelievable Gospel: Say Something Worth Believing by Jonathan K Dodson. This book completely changed how I look at evangelism and how to love and serve others. I would highly encourage every Christian to get their hands on this book. I am so thankful for the experience that I may be able to use to serve my community and to make Jesus non-ignorable in the Denver community and to the ends of the earth.

What am I excited about? I am so excited for the Gospel! If there is one thing that I have learned, it is that I need the Gospel just as much as someone who has never heard it. The Gospel is more than just a story to be told of God sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we may have a renewed relationship with Him. It is something that cannot be ignored and must be shared with everyone. I am so excited for this life of ministry that God has set me on. To live this life in service of others in order to glorify God is, in my opinion, the greatest reward for being one of God’s children.
