SummerLink Clemson – Halfway mark

SummerLink Clemson – Halfway mark

As we approach the halfway point of Summer LINK Clemson, all I can think to say is how good the Lord has been. Some of my favorite times during the week are our Monday night gender nights. These times are so sweet as all of girls and guys gather separately to talk about the Word with each other. I have been so encouraged to hear from my sisters in Christ and have been challenged to be vulnerable with one another. I?ve realized how important gospel-centered community is to my growth, so that we can encourage one another and point each other towards the Lord.

Clemson Summer LINK is unique in that we don?t all live together, and we have the opportunity to live out ministry in the context of our everyday lives this summer. Many of us are working or going to school in addition to participating in Summer LINK, so we?ve really been able to see what working in a local church looks like, as well as how we can live out the gospel in our daily lives. For me personally, the Lord has opened my eyes to see the brokenness that is all around me. It?s so easy to forget that so many of the people we come into contact with on a daily basis don?t know the Lord. The Lord has given me a burden to always be aware of those who are around me, and to make the most of every opportunity.

This week, Crosspoint is having VBS! I have been able to help out in the 4-year-olds class and they are bundles of energy! Pray for us leaders to be intentional in our time with the kids, and to reflect Christ as we lead them. Pray for their salvation, and for their families, as many kids have come from outside of our Crosspoint community. We?re having a celebration for the parents to come to on Thursday night, and it will be a great opportunity to proclaim the gospel to some families that don?t know Jesus.

I?m excited to see how the Lord will work this second half of the summer, and would ask that you would pray for our team this second half of the summer. Pray that all we would do would be glorifying to the Lord. Pray for friendships and unity among our team. Pray that the gospel would go forth, even here in Clemson.
