THE SPIRITUAL CLIMATE OF CANADA

While old Anglican and Roman Catholic church buildings might dot the landscape, the city of Halifax and the region of Atlantic Canada are in desperate need of true, vibrant gospel witness.

As the fastest growing city in Canada, Halifax is becoming home to thousands of new immigrants curiously searching for a people and a place with which to belong. The fields are ripe for the harvest, but the labourers are few!

King’s Table Church exists to take every chance to make much of Jesus. As we seize opportunities to engage those close to us but far from Jesus, our living rooms, dinner tables, and Sunday gatherings are starting to fill up with people who are getting their first taste of life in the Kingdom.

At King’s Table, we tell God’s Story not our own. We’re not building a brand; we’re simply bringing one another to Jesus through his Word. So, we want to own the ordinary. No occasion is too small to put the Kingdom on display. As we do, we know that Jesus sustains his people and builds his church. So, we will continually send out our best to see the life we share in Christ shared across our city and around the world!

Our living rooms, dinner tables, and Sunday gatherings are starting to fill up with people who are getting their first taste of life in the Kingdom.

THE CANADA RESIDENCY

We are excited to launch the Generation LINK residency from the very beginning of the launch of King’s Table Church! It is vital to us that as we bring the curious near to Jesus, we are also making disciples, developing leaders, and sending labourers!

Generation LINK residents have opportunities to serve in every area of church life groups, worship, kids, discipleship, hospitality, evangelism ? and do so in a close-knit, small-team setting. Residents also have the option to connect with our partners at the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary to continue their education. If you want to get meaningful ministry reps in the life of a young church, we would love to serve you as you serve with us!

Bryce Harrison | Co-Director

Bryce and his wife, Elizabeth, have three boys ? Coleman, Gilbert, and Lewis. Bryce and Elizabeth both grew up in missionary families before graduating from North Greenville University. Bryce earned his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Harrisons moved to Nova Scotia in 2021 to pursue the Lord?s calling to plant churches. They love Atlantic Canada and are so thankful for the team and community that the Lord has gathered around them. Bryce enjoys soccer, Shark Week, and all things Tolkien. If he?s not watching episodes of Bluey or being used as a human climbing gym, he may also be spotted in his natural habitat at your local disc golf course.

Steve Savage | Co-Director

Steve & Debbie Savage have been married since 1989 and have three adult children: Sydney, Dustin, and Bryce. Steve graduated with a BRE from Covenant Baptist Bible College in Mission B.C. in 1985 but decided to pursue a marketing career. After 20+ years working in the corporate world, the Savages were called to enter full-time vocational ministry. Steve has since pastored three different churches in three different provinces across Canada. They enjoy watching sports (especially football), love their coffee (especially with friends), and appreciate any opportunity to travel and experience other cultures (especially with family).

SUMMER LINK HALIFAX 2024

DATES: May 28 – July 24

PRICE: TBD

*Exact dates and cost are subject to change

SummerLINK Atlanta will be serving alongside Parkside Church to serve the east side neighborhoods of Atlanta, as well as, our nearby colleges and universities. Throughout the summer we will participate in evangelism and community outreach that we hope turns into deep disciple-making relationships and new ministries. This is an exciting time to join Parkside as we plan to launch the church this upcoming fall. This summer will be a crucial and formative time for our church.

Our Atlanta team will plan to have preview services where we will worship together, hear teaching from the Word, and invite our communities to join us. In addition, we will have many community outreach events where we will engage our neighbors with the gospel and an invitation to see what is happening at Parkside Church?. As our desire is to help you thrive during your time in Atlanta, we want to position you to help us engage our city, and build relationships that will last after you’re gone!
