12 Jul Summer LINK Raleigh: Where has the summer gone?
We have 2 weeks left and I can?t help but ask myself, ?Where has the summer gone??
It seems like just yesterday we were kicking off Summer LINK Raleigh. We were all a little awkward and didn?t really know each other, but we were excited to get started. Now we have done 5 weeks of life and ministry together. We have been stretched and grown as a team and individually. We have learned to give grace and to be flexible. We have laughed A LOT.
It?s been a full summer serving in Raleigh. We did Power Camp, Creed Camp, New Jersey Mission Trip, with Equip Nights, bible study, and trainings in between. We are currently in New Jersey this week serving Christ Our Hope Church. And will end the summer in Orlando for the Summer LINK debrief and SEND Conference.
As we are in New Jersey this week, will you join us in praying for Christ Our Hope Church. Pray for them to find a new building to worship in, as their current location is financially too much. Pray for the Lord to send more workers to COHC to reach Clifton. Pray as we engage the community that the Lord would give us boldness and clarity in sharing the gospel with those we encounter. Pray for those that we share the gospel with, that their hearts would be open and receptive. Pray for those we get to talk with that they would get connected with Christ Our Hope even after we?re gone.
Overall, we desire to be a blessing to the church plant of Christ Our Hope. Our goal for this week is that the gospel of Christ would be magnified through our service in the city of Clifton. We have a busy schedule this week including passing out invitations to Christ Our Hope to train commuters throughout the city, community surveys, and evening evangelism in the park. We will be working through our study of Galatians this week, continuing to desire God?s word and be sanctified through it.

As we are finishing out the summer, pray that we would finish well. After a full summer it is easy to want to slow down and check out. Pray that we would serve Open Door well the last week before Orlando. Pray for the students who came to serve from out of town, that they would leave impacted by their summer, have safe travel going home, and transition well back into normal rhythms of life. For our students that are staying around Raleigh, pray that they would be spurred on to be faithful church members who love and serve the local church and be on mission right where they are.
