The Boston team is officially on the ground! We have had an exciting and productive first few days here. Thanks for checking in on us: have a look below at the update provided by our team member Brianna Putnam.
“We arrived in Boston late?on Wednesday?night. We were exhausted but extremely excited about beginning our journey. Our first full day in Medford we spent the morning catching up on sleep and started with a late lunch at Bob?s Italian Food. Afterwards, we met some new friends from Redemption Hill and then we went to a cookout with some of the staff. We have all been overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness that has been shown to us by the congregation.?Friday?we went on a scavenger hunt around Boston and ended up walking over 14 miles!?Saturday?morning we had an evangelism training and then got to go out and apply it in Assembly Square. We were able to plant many gospel seeds and invited several people to attend church with us.?Sunday?morning we were up quite early, but we had the pleasure of serving with the Redemption Hill members. It was amazing seeing how every?Sunday?morning they come in and spend almost two hours setting up for their service and then afterwards they spend almost two hours tearing it all down. Tanner Turley preached an awesome message, and it was evident that God was speaking through him. Afterwards we enjoyed time fellowshipping with RHC members at Regina’s Pizza for lunch.
It is clear already this summer that God is going to do huge things with our group. Though we have only been together a short time, we have quickly grown close and it has been fun getting to spend time bonding and evangelizing together. We have big plans coming up in the next weeks and it will great watching God work. Our goal for the summer is to let God use us while we serve Medford and the greater Boston area. The summer will continue to be successful with the helpful members of RHC and their full support. It is the prayers, meals, rides and fellowship that will help us complete this 6 week journey.”

Three?ways you can pray with and for us:
Our Team: Please play for our obedience in the spiritual disciplines. Pray that we will seek out times to be alone with God–that we will draw from his strength and not our own. Also, please pray that we will be bold in our proclamation of the gospel.
Medford/Boston: Pray for the people in these communities. Pray for those who were raised catholic that they would come to see Jesus as the full atonement for their sins. Pray for the individuals who have no concept of God-that he would reveal himself to them through His Spirit.
Our Ministry: Please pray for the individuals we have come into contact with already. Pray for their hearts to be softened to the gospel message. Pray for the outreaches we will participate in next week: specifically for the kids at Willis Avenue (a low income housing complex) and the kids who will attend soccer nights next week!
