16 Jun Building Relationships in Boston
Hey guys! It’s Abby on SummerLINK Boston and I’m so excited to share with you how God is moving here!
Already God has brought people across our path that we are praying for and we ask you to pray for as well. One of those people is named Emily. Rachel and Kelli met her the other day when doing outreach in the community and exchanged contact information with her. We all were able to meet her for dinner the other night and a few people shared their testimonies and what their relationship with Jesus means to them. Pray that we would continue building a relationship with her and continue to have chances to share about Jesus.
We’ve also been able to volunteer at the Mystic Community Market, which is a local food bank in Medford that is dedicated to ending hunger in the area. We’ve been able to go serve a few hours every week helping to unload and organize deliveries and prepare food for pickup. It’s been awesome getting to serve alongside Medford locals and build relationships with them as we volunteer.
Lastly, if you would pray for us as we plan a mini Serve Medford week and a movie night the week of July 5th we would appreciate it! Serve Medford is tradition of Redemption Hill where they spend the week doing service projects and giveaways around the community. Due to the pandemic, we’ve had to scale it back a bit, but we are still going to do as much as we can. We also think this will be a great way to do outreach in Medford. Please pray that we would have opportunities to share the gospel and love the city of Medford well.
