First Week of Summer LINK Anderson

As we come to the end of our first week here in?Summer LINK Anderson, we have seen our team bond together and start to cultivate deep relationships that hopefully will continue to deepen and focus around the gospel as the summer goes on.

This past Sunday, Renewal Church celebrated it’s first anniversary where our Summer LINK team made their debut. It was great to see the team talking with families and getting to know and love them as they serve alongside the church for the summer. ?Each week we have a full schedule consisting of different ways to equip, lead, and pour into these students with the goal of making disciples for God’s glory, while falling more in love with the local church.

Later in the week, we did a prayer walk around one of our church families neighborhoods where we will be putting on our first Back Yard Kid’s Club. This VBS-type event is one of the many ways Renewal is seeking to reach out to our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. Lots of planning has gone in to this event and we are praying God will use this event to bring people in this neighborhood to Himself.

Getting ready to go on our hike in Table Rock State Park

Will you help us pray for this next week’s Back Yard Kid’s Club?

Yesterday we had our first team social where we went to Table Rock State Park and listened to Blue Grass music in the mountains and did a small hike. This was another great opportunity to grow in gospel community?within our team and have some fun!

We have been given this great privilege and responsibility to lead this team and pray that by God’s grace they would grow in their love for Christ, the church, and the?lost.
