Johns Creek Week- Anderson Summer LINK

This past week, we took a trip to Johns Creek, GA to serve alongside church planters that are?seeking to start their church this September. ?Through our affiliation the North American Church Planting Foundation (NACPF), we got connected with Adam, the head church planter for Redemption Baptist Fellowship (RBF) in Johns Creek, Georgia. Johns Creek is a very affluent suburb of Atlanta, GA and, as in the parable of the rich young man of Matthew 19:16-30, it is hard for the wealthy to see their need for Christ.

Our mission last week was to start relationships, share?the gospel, and get the word out about RBF. We sought to accomplish our goals by going to high traffic areas of town handing out information about the church with hopes of having gospel conversations. Primarily, we went to parks, running trails, and MARTA stations. Each night we had a devotional time led by men involved in the church plant in some way. We got to hear how they came to faith in Christ and how they got involved in church planting.

By the end of the week, we were exhausted! We had good conversations with people in the area and were, by God’s grace, able to share the gospel with a Hindu man who seemed interested in learning more about God and His Word. Would you join us in praying for this man? That the Spirit would be working in his heart to bring him to repentance and faith in the One True God!?That Friday, we had a day of fun where we had lunch at the Varsity, saw some of God’s amazing creation at?the Georgia Aquarium, and finished the day at Turner Field cheering on the Atlanta Braves.?Overall, the team was able to see church planting as it starts from ground zero and how it is hard work.
