We?re rejoicing because God graciously allowed His Gospel to be presented during Back Yard Kid?s Club. During last Sunday?s message, one of our Elders preached on Luke 2:39-52. We learned the importance of allowing God?s disruptive hand to determine our lives. This rang true throughout the entirety of our week hosting our first Back Yard Kid?s Club. Our tolerance of this disruption increased and we learned to be flexible when we were unexpectedly asked to lead the teaching portion every afternoon. Jesus used these moments to teach us about His provision and we gained so much from this experience. The opportunity to share the Gospel with these children has affirmed our belief in its power.
We?re also rejoicing because our church family was able to go?outside the walls of our building and into the community to build relationships. During our first block party, we were able to deepen our relationships within the church and develop new relationships with other families in the area. While sitting under the teaching of the Elders at Renewal Church, we have learned how vital it is to be a church that says, ?We?re coming to you,? as a reflection of the Gospel because it allows us to meet people where they are.
We have so much to rejoice about. In the pursuit of growth and holiness, we have been able to see Jesus so clearly and we?re only on week three. We?re expectant that He will continue to bring us closer to Himself for His glory and for the advance of His kingdom.
