07 Jun Summer LINK has started here in Raleigh!
Our Raleigh team kicked off Summer LINK Monday night with our first Equip Night. Tim and Nancy Brannagan had our team over for burgers and of course, ice cream. We are grateful for their hospitality and the wisdom that was shared from their experience?of years of ministry both nationally and internationally.
The following morning we began with teaching from Jesse Pacchioli, our Summer LINK director, on?discipleship. We also spent time getting to know everyone a little better before?going out to lunch with the Generation LINK Director, Jeremy Chasteen.
Let me introduce you to our team:
Jesse Pacchioli is our Summer LINK director. He is finishing up his Mdiv at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December. He is a Generation LINK resident at Open Door Church in Raleigh and leads in the youth ministry there. He is married to the coolest redhead around, Joanna Pacchioli. In their spare time you can find them shooting photography for a wedding or hanging with their pup, Luna.
Kaycee Lookingbill is the Assistant Summer LINK director. She is pursuing an M.A. in Ministry to Women at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is graduating May 2018. She is also a Generation LINK resident at Open Door and serves primarily in the college and administratively in both youth and college. She is an Okie at heart. In her spare time you can find her at Back Alley Coffee Roasters hanging with her friends drinking coffee and laughing.
Shannon?Marshall is?currently attending Wake Technical Community College in the hopes of transferring in the near future. She is a barista and lover of all things coffee, music, and Jesus. She is so excited to see how the Lord is going to use the team to stretch them in their service to Christ and love for the Gospel and the church!
Josh Moore is about to go into his?senior year at Louisiana Tech where he is?studying business management. He plans on someday being a worship pastor at a church. He chose to be in the Summer LINK?program this summer because he believes it will give him the opportunity to not only grow deeper in his personal walk with Christ, but also to see a side of ministry he hasn’t seen?yet.
Chase Sanders is?entering into his Senior year at Louisiana Tech. He is majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Education. After graduation, he plans on attending seminary and going into Pastoral ministry. He chose to do Summer LINK this summer because he wants to serve in the local church and learn more about pastoral duties. Another reason is to learn what ministry he wants to serve in such as youth, college, or possibly something else. He is?excited to be able to grow in his faith and serve the local church this summer.
Jacen Garriss is from Wake Forest, NC and will be attending Liberty University in the Fall. He is excited to spend one of the last free summers he has to serve the local church through the Summer LINK program and travel to different places this summer.
Graham Wilson is a Wake Forest native and will be attending the College at Southeastern in the Fall. He works at Panera Bread and ?considers himself a music nut. He is most excited about Summer LINK because of the opportunity to grow personally and be equipped in sharing the gospel with those around him.
TyQuan Jeffreys is a Wake Forest native as well. He is in his second year at Wake Tech Community College. He is excited to be discipled through Summer LINK and learn what it looks like to be a disciple maker.
As you can see, we have some great students serving with us this summer. As we kick off the summer, would you join us in praying for our team? Here are specific things you can pray:
- Each student?would grow in?grace and knowledge of our Savior
- Unity within the team
- Safe travels as we will be traveling to New Jersey and Orlando
